Five Reasons to Join United Against Racism 2024

YW Boston’s annual United Against Racism campaign kicked off on April 1st, but there is still time to join this important initiative. Starting today, the entire self-paced curriculum is available. Join us for the rest of April to raise awareness about the impact of institutional racism and ignite the courage to confront anti-DEI challenges head-on.

Need more convincing? Here are our top five reasons to join United Against Racism 2024:

  1. Self-paced means you can adapt the curriculum to your own learning style. The structure of the lessons allows participants to take as much time as they need with each topic, and they will retain access to the curriculum even after the campaign ends. You will also receive a United Against Racism Toolkit to help practice self-reflection, engage in tough conversations, and plan to take action in support of racial equity.
  2. This year’s theme is especially timely and relevant. With the current attacks against DEI, YW Boston is committed to practicing Courageous DEI. Our 2024 curriculum was tailored to educate, contextualize, and embolden participants to tackle racism and counter the negative impact of anti-DEI rhetoric on individuals, communities, institutions, and organizations.
  3. You can participate individually or as a group. Individuals, friend groups, families, student associations, colleagues, and organizations are all welcome to sign up. The curriculum includes a variety of media such as articles, videos, discussion prompts, and worksheets that can be utilized for individual or group study. Organizations can benefit from participation by gaining access to racial equity content that can support organizational learning, encourage employee engagement and community building, and complement existing DEI work. Or, for those who prefer to learn solo, the lessons can support individual learning as well.
  4. You will be joining thousands across the greater Boston area. For over a decade, YW Boston has hosted our customized campaign, and since 2020, it has been fully virtual. This online format allows for a more accessible program and for more participants to join. Over 6,800 people participated in last year’s campaign. This year we hope for an even greater turnout. Will you join with thousands of Bostonians committed to fighting racism?
  5. Joining United Against Racism shows your commitment taking action against racism. Participating in the campaign makes a powerful statement. Upon completion of our United Against Racism curriculum, participants will receive a digital badge to showcase their participation.

The entire United Against Racism curriculum is now available. Register below to receive the curriculum and get started today.
