Dear YW Community,

On Tuesday, September 19th, 2017, six LeadBoston alumni received recognition from Get Konnected!, a diversity and inclusion networking and business development initiative created by Collette Phillips of Colette Phillips Communications, Inc.

Hosted in collaboration with Neighborhood Health Plan and Partners HealthCare, the GK50 celebrates Boston’s top 50 most influential people of color in healthcare and life sciences.

10% of this year’s GK50 honorees were LeadBoston alumni, celebrated for their outstanding professional achievements and their steadfast commitment to socially responsible leadership.  Chien-Chi Huang, Stephanie Lovell, Wanda McClain, Damian Wilmot, Frederica Williams and Azzie Young represent career paths that include innovation, community health, patient care, bio tech, artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals and other fields of influence in health care and the life sciences. Though they represent varied fields, each are committed to the greater good.

This representation of LeadBoston alumni in GK50 illustrates a prime example of those involved in the program.  GK50 sought nominations of individuals who think holistically about their leadership and how to positively impact the broader community. Through experiential learning and meaningful dialogue, LeadBoston similarly convenes cross-sector leaders committed to being change agents within their workplace and throughout Greater Boston.

All of us here at YW Boston would like to congratulate the 2017 GK50 award recipients.  We are continuously inspired by the daily work that these leaders are doing to foster change and create a healthier, happier and more productive society.

If you’d like to join the ranks of these highly motivated movers and shakers, make a difference in the lives of others while deepening your own leadership, join us for our upcoming LeadBoston info session on October 17 at 6:00pm.

We look forward to helping you hone the leadership skills necessary for shaping the future of civic life in Boston.

Sincerely,

Kathryn Henderson
