YW Boston’s 2019 Stand Against Racism
Remind me to Crowdraise for YW Boston’s Yearly Campaign

Each April, YW Boston holds the Stand Against Racism campaign, which raises awareness about the negative impact of institutional racism in our communities. This year, in addition to inviting individuals and organizations to host a pledge board or hold a conversation on race, we are holding our first #StandAgainstRacism peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. All proceeds go to YW Boston to support this annual campaign and our mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

All through the month of April, we are challenging our supporters to set a fundraising goal and create a Facebook fundraiser page in order to meet it. All fundraisers who meet their goal ($150+) will be entered into a raffle for two complimentary tickets to our 2019 Academy of Women Achievers Luncheon.

Fill out the form below, and we will send you an email when our official Facebook peer-to-peer fundraising campaign begins. Thank you for your support of our Stand Against Racism campaign!

There are also a number of other ways to get involved with Stand Against Racism, including hosting a pledge board or starting a conversation about race. Learn more and sign up:

Your Impact

Proceeds from your fundraiser will help keep our work sustainable and allow us to impact a greater number of people in the City of Boston and beyond. Through our programs and advocacy, we educate, amplify, and empower people across difference to create more inclusive environments where women, people of color, and in particular women of color can succeed. Your fundraising will directly support:

Dialogues on Race and Ethnicity

YW Boston’s Dialogues program helps organizations create cultural shifts that support diversity and inclusion. Our expert facilitators guide groups through several sessions where participants can talk openly about their experiences with race and identify barriers to equity and inclusion. Then, using an advanced assessment tool and customized action plan, we help organizations develop and implement unique solutions.

LeadBoston

LeadBoston is a cross-sector leadership development program that equips mid-to-senior level professionals with knowledge, skills, and networks to drive socially responsible change in their communities and organizations.

Youth Programming

Our youth programs work with young people across Greater Boston to help them learn about key social justice concepts and develop skills that support their growth into socially responsible leaders.

Advocacy

The Advocacy Committee supports YW Boston’s mission by engaging elected officials, organizations and the public through legislative advocacy, coalition building, education, and action. The committee develops and implements the organization’s two-year advocacy agenda in order to rectify structural barriers to equity and opportunity for women, girls, and people of color.
