Kathryn Henderson

Interim President & CEO

Kathryn joined YW Boston as Community Outreach Coordinator in 2009 with more than 10 years of nonprofit program management experience. In 2022, Kathryn was promoted to Chief Engagement Officer, overseeing the organization’s external partnerships, thought leadership, advancement, marketing and communications, advocacy, and engagement efforts. She currently serves as Interim President & CEO. 

Prior to her tenure at YW Boston, Kathryn was the national programs manager for Reach Out and Read, an acclaimed youth literacy program. She has also worked with Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance.

Kathryn has served as an adjunct professor at Tufts University and Bay State College and is a member of NEHRA’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Advisory Board.  She holds a bachelor’s degree from College of the Holy Cross and a master’s degree from Springfield College. Kathryn is a 2011 graduate of LeadBoston.
