Marla Baskerville

Marla is an Associate Professor in the Management and Organizational Department in the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University. She earned her PhD in organizational behavior at Tulane University, MEd from the University of Georgia, and BS from Howard University. Her research interests include power and influence, gender and diversity, and expressions of sexuality at work. Her work has been published in leading journals in the fields of organizational behavior and management, organizational psychology, and gender and work in organizations, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Research in Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management, and the Academy of Management Perspectives. Marla has presented her work at both practitioner and academic conferences, including the Academy of Management and the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology annual conferences. While at Northeastern, Marla has taught the core required Organizational Behavior course for undergraduate business majors as well as the required Managing People and Organizations course in the full-time MBA program, the part-time MBA program, and the Graduate School of Professional Accounting program.  Prior to her academic career, Marla worked as a marketing manager at an affinity marketing company in New York City.
