Organizational Learning Manager

Barbara joined the YWBoston as an Organizational Learning Manager in January 2025. Her work is driven by a commitment to fostering equitable learning environments, combining strategic program management with innovative curriculum development to create impactful and inclusive training programs.

Most recently, she served as the Education Specialist and DEB Trainer at Franciscan Children’s. In this role, she coordinated hospital orientations, supported new staff onboarding, and co-facilitated DEB council meetings and events. She collaborated with subject matter experts to develop curricula and training modules, and she also served as an administrator for the hospital’s learning management system.

Previously, Barbara spent seven years at EMPath as a Senior Education and Career Specialist, where she managed a City of Boston block grant program. She designed and facilitated workshops, created micro-courses, and contributed to EMPath’s Learning Exchange by training external staff on the Mobility Mentoring Coaching Method, with a focus on cultural competency and coaching immigrant populations. Barbara supported organizational capacity-building through staff consultations, resource development, and targeted training initiatives.

Barbara holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from UMass Boston. In her personal life, she enjoys spending time with her close-knit Haitian family. Passionate about travel, Barbara seeks out off-the-beaten-path destinations and strives to explore the world in the most ethical and sustainable ways possible.
