Samantha Isabel Calero, MPH

Vice President of People and Culture

Sam brings over 17 years of experience to her role leading YW Boston’s internal DEIAB, organizational learning and development, and people operations. Her background is in strategy and change consulting for the government and non profit sectors, with a focus on racial and gender equity and trauma-informed systems. In addition to her role at YW Boston, Sam lectures at Clark University in the Department of Sustainability and Social Justice. She also serves on the Community Services Advisory Board for Ascentria Care Alliance. She holds an MPH in Health Policy from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst for her undergraduate degree. When not working, Sam enjoys cooking, reading, gardening, and travelling.
