A post-election message to our supporters

SONY DSC

As a supporter of eliminating racism and empowering women, we know this is a difficult day.

We want to assure you that YW Boston remains steadfastly committed to standing up, speaking out, and working at all levels to promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

  • This evening, we’re graduating 36 executives from our LeadBoston program – these are people in positions of power across all sectors who are now emboldened as socially responsible leaders. Next week, 40 high school students in our Youth Leadership InItative will spend the day learning about criminal injustice – these are the social justice leaders of tomorrow
  • Today, tomorrow, and nearly every day, our Health and Wellness team is providing information and tools for women and girls to protect their mental, emotional, and physical health – these skills are necessary for women and girls navigating a prejudicial and potentially threatening social climate.

We will be sharing resources, opportunities to take action, and critical food for thought in the coming days and weeks. And for the next four years – in fact, the next 150 years – we will be there standing up for a peaceful, free, and just community.

Thank you for standing with us.
