A study released by two economists from the University of Queensland found Brisbane city bus drivers were more likely to allow white passengers, whose bus cards registered insufficient funds, to ride free as compared to black passengers. The findings highlight an everyday benefit afforded to whites and speak to a concrete example of white privilege at play.
